National Smile Month, organised by the British Dental Health Foundation, is the UK’s largest annual oral health campaign which is running from Monday May 18-Thursday June 18.
In support of this, Liverpool Community Health (LCH) NHS Trust’s Dental Health Promotion team is encouraging people to visit one of their community drop-in sessions for advice and a free tube of family fluoride toothpaste.
Members of the Dental Health Team will be on hand to chat to people and offer free, professional information and advice on how to brush properly, look after your teeth and keep your mouth healthy.
Helen Parsley, Principal Dental Health Promotion Officer for Liverpool Community Health NHS Trust, explained: “As part of National Smile Month we want to remind people how important it is to brush your teeth and gums twice a day with family fluoride toothpaste.
“If you’re a parent or carer, do remember that children will need help with tooth brushing up to the age of seven too.
“Our friendly team of dental health professionals will also be on hand to answer any questions that people might have about oral hygiene and how to look after their teeth.”
LCH will be attending a series of community road show events taking place at each of the following venues and times:
• May 19, 14.00-16.00 - Dementia Awareness Event, Olive Mount, L15 8GG
