Quiz Night for Sunflowers Cancer Care

Liverpool Sunflowers Cancer Care is set to host a special Charity Quiz Night as a fundraiser to help boost its work supporting local people with cancer.

The Sunflowers Quiz Night will be taking place on Thursday March 19 at the Sunflowers Centre, 21 Aigburth Road.

Attendees will be welcomed with a range of entertainment during the night including live music, a sausage supper (veggie options are also available), and a raffle with a range of top prizes such as a PlayStation 4 and LFC goodies.

Refreshments including soft drinks will also be available to purchase throughout the evening.

Attendees are also welcome to bring their own alcohol if they would like to.

Tickets for the evening cost just £5.00 per person. Doors will open at 6.30pm, and the quiz will kick off at 7.30pm.

All proceeds will be invested directly into the charity’s work in supporting local people living with a cancer diagnosis.

Liverpool Sunflowers provides a unique range of free support service to all individuals and families from Merseyside affected by a cancer diagnosis, including professional guidance and advisory services, one-to-one counselling, alternative therapies which compliment NHS treatments, and group support sessions for both cancer patients and their families/carers.

Joan Elmer, Chief Executive for Liverpool Sunflowers, explained: “Everyone knows at least one person who has been affected by cancer, especially here in Merseyside, which sadly has one of the highest rates for cancer of any city in the UK.

“But at Liverpool Sunflowers, we believe that by coming together we can build a strong community in the fight against cancer.

“So, why not play your part by gathering a few of your family, friends or colleagues and putting together a quiz team for the night?

“Join us for what promises to be a great night of fun, and help us raise some vital funds for people in our community who are living with a cancer diagnosis at the same time.”
