The Health Technology (Telehealth) Service at Liverpool Community Health (LCH) NHS Trust has recently been presented with an award.
The LCH Star Awards are part of an internal reward and recognition programme aimed at highlighting the hard work and commitment of individuals and teams of LCH staff working within the communities of Liverpool and South Sefton.
The Health Technology Service remotely monitors patients with long -erm conditions such as diabetes or heart failure in their own home, and with the support of health professionals it provides patients with the confidence and ability to manage their own conditions.
The service is part of the More Independent Programme (Mi) and works in partnership with NHS Liverpool CCG and aims to transform lives and improve health and wellbeing through the use of a range of technologies.
Amanda Pye, Interim Director of Nursing at LCH, commented: “The Team have worked extremely hard, they’ve been responsive to the increased demand for health technology and have gone the extra mile for our patients, helping them to stay safe, well and at home. Over the last year, 1000 patients used Health Technology and the team are currently monitoring over 700 patients each day. This award is a testament to their hard work and commitment.”
The Health Technology Service has also received national recognition for their innovative work and were chosen for this Award via a judging panel consisting of a cross section of clinical and corporate staff.
Mi is part of the dallas programme (delivering Assisted Lifestyles At Scale), which is funded by Innovate UK.
The Mi partnership led by the NHS Liverpool Clinical Commissioning Group is based in Liverpool and aims to transform lives through using a range of technologies, gadgets and services that are about enhancing the health and wellbeing of local people; providing ways to help them be more independent, feel more supported and less isolated.
